After 14 years in Parliament, Robin has returned to the world of financial communications. He spent six years as a Minister and two years as Chair of the Education Select Committee. In Parliament he also served on the Business Innovation and Skills Select Committee, Welsh Affairs and Northern Ireland Affairs Committees and as a Minister in the Department for Exiting the European Union, Northern Ireland Office and the Department for Education, where he was Minister of State for School Standards.
Prior to this he was a Partner of Finsbury Group where he specialised in Industrials clients and helped to build the Mining & Metals practice advising a range of FTSE 100 clients. Robin’s M&A experience includes the takeover defences of Kidde, Novar, Pilkington, Pennon, Arcelor and Rio Tinto. He worked on IPOs including Ferrexpo, Hochschild Mining, African Barrick Gold and Kazakhmys.
