Cardew Group has committed to reducing its carbon emissions, as part of the global effort to tackle the climate crisis. We have started by measuring our impact in the areas where our carbon footprint mostly lies, i.e. in Scopes 2 and 3 (travel and office energy), and our ambition is to continue to measure and improve on our impact in the following areas:
Minimise business travel (air, rail and road), choosing the most sustainable options wherever possible, embracing virtual meetings; as well as offering a “cycle to work” scheme.
Promote public transport rather than private where possible.
Consume responsibly, minimising the use of single-use plastics and the production of waste (e.g. cardboard, food, electronic equipment, mobile phones); using re-fillable water bottles; and recycling waste.
Minimise energy usage in our London office, and monitor the green credentials of our suppliers.
Use sustainable sources and local suppliers where possible for consumables.
